Lower Ugashik Lake

Lower Ugashik Lake is a freshwater lake located in the Aleutians East Borough of Alaska, United States. It is situated within the Bristol Bay drainage basin and is fed by several small streams including the Ugashik River. The lake has a surface area of 90 square miles (233 square kilometers) and a maximum depth of 214 feet (65 meters).
Lower Ugashik Lake is known for its abundant fish population, including salmon, trout, and char. It is a popular fishing destination and is also used for subsistence fishing by local residents. The lake and surrounding area are also home to a variety of wildlife, such as moose, brown and black bears, wolves, and bald eagles.
There are several lodges and cabins located on the shores of Lower Ugashik Lake, providing lodging and guided fishing trips for visitors. The lake is accessible by floatplane or boat and is located approximately 300 miles southwest of Anchorage.
